Jewish Herald Voice | January 29, 2009

The Arlene Stock Center of Torah for Women will present Lori Palatnik at the upcoming Womens Mini-Conference on Tuesday, Feb. 3. The event will build on the momentum created by the sixth annual Houston Conference for Jewish Women, which was held on Sunday, Dec. 7, 2008.

Back by popular demand, Palatnik returns to Houston as keynote speaker for this night of learning and schmoozing. Her talks are inspirational. Her keynote address is certain to speak to the heart of every Jewish woman, as she challenges the way women view their lives and provides practical insights and recommendations that will lead to a balanced perspective.

Participants also will have the option to attend one of three engaging classes, as well as a dessert reception. The event will be held at Torah VChesed, with registration starting at 7 p.m. Register at www.torchweb.org.

The mission of ASCENT is to unite the women of the Jewish community of greater Houston through quality classes and programs, and the mini-conference will be the first of many outstanding events planned for 2009. ASCENT is the Womens Division of Torah Outreach Resource Center of Houston and was established to honor Arlene Waldman Stock, of blessed memory.
